New Election Equipment for 2018

Beginning in 2017 Michigan began transitioning to new Election equipment. All of Eaton County's jurisdictions' new equipment was purchased from Hart Intercivic and will be implemented for the August and November 2018 Elections.

There will be some Open Houses scheduled (TBA) around the county for residents to see the new equipment prior to the 2018 elections.

Voters may not notice much of a difference in the voting process between the old equipment and new equipment (a paper ballot is still issued and then feed into a optical-scan tabulator to count the votes), but underneath their hood these voting systems are the newest election technology available.
