NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF HIDDEN TRAIL AND BROOKMEAD WAY EATON TOWNSHIP, EATON COUNTY, MICHIGAN AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on motion of the township board, as authorized by PA 188 of 1954, as amended, the township board proposes to construct pavement in the area described below and to create a special assessment district for the recovery of the costs thereof by special assessment against the properties benefited.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the special assessment district within which the foregoing improvements are proposed to be constructed and within which the costs thereof are proposed to be specially assessed are more particularly described as follows:

Following parcels located on Hidden Trail and Brookmead Way, Eaton Township, Eaton County, Charlotte, Michigan 48813.

This proposed project to resurface the pavement of Kristen Way and Tina Lane with estimate costs of $46,400.00.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the township board has received the plans showing the improvements and the locations thereof, together with an estimate of costs in the approximate amounts shown above and has placed the same on file with the township clerk; and has passed a motion tentatively declaring its intention to make such improvement and to create the aforementioned special assessment district.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the plans, estimates of costs and proposed special assessment district may be examined at the office of the Township Clerk from 9am-1pm & 2-4pm Tuesdays and 9am-1pm & 2-4pm on Thursdays, from the date of this notice until and including the date of the public hearing.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that a public hearing on the plans, districts and estimate of costs will be held at the township hall at 3981 E Clinton Trail, Charlotte, Michigan, commencing at seven o’clock p.m. on June 6, 2024.

At the hearing, the board will consider any written objections to any of the foregoing matters filed with the board at or before the hearing as well as any revisions, corrections, amendments, or changes to the plans, estimates and costs or special assessment district.

All interested persons are invited to be present at the hearing and to submit any comments they may have.
